Programme Objectives
The “International Business Analytics” programme has been designed & developed with the objective to inculcate in participants requisite concepts of International Business & Trade, together with the role that the niche & emerging discipline of Analytics can play in quantitative analysis based decision making the context of cross-border trade. The trading can be import and/ or export oriented. In today’s world, any MNC including the IT / ITES organization or the established players in any industry vertical having its cross boarder manufacturing units or offshore development centre (e.g. software) or captive R&D centre needs to take various critical decisions under uncertain circumstances. That is why analytics based decision making will help them take more informed decisions. The programme lays the foundation of international business & trade fundamentals, apart from the applications of analytics concepts necessary to operate in such a cross-border setting. The programme blends academic curricula of both international traded as well as quantitative analysis along with real-world analytics based case studies and/ or use cases. Hence, apart from the knowledge of major business functions, as applicable in a cross-border context, a first-hand exposure to popular applications of high-end business analytics techniques will be shared.

Are there any Learning Pre-requisites?

Effectiveness of learning of the said programme would be enhanced if participants have knowledge of micro and macro economics, exposure to business/ management functions (finance, marketing, HR, Supply Chain, etc.) as part of curriculum or while working in an organization.

In order to further enhance the efficiency & effectiveness of participants’ learning, it is desirable (though not mandatory) that participants have studied, at the graduate or 10+2 level, either of Mathematics, Engineering Mathematics, Business Mathematics, or Mathematical Economics.
